All caregivers at VITA Soins et Services undergo a rigorous hiring process, including:

• Ongoing performance evaluations

2. Service Reliability

• Scheduled visits are confirmed and tracked to ensure no client is ever left without care
• Backup caregivers are available to cover unexpected absences
• Supervisors conduct regular check-ins with both clients and caregivers
• A 24/7 contact line is available for urgent needs

3. Data & Privacy Security

• All client health and personal information is handled in strict accordance with Québec Law 25 and PIPEDA
• Client files are stored securely with restricted access
• Caregivers are trained in privacy and confidentiality obligations
• Digital tools and platforms used are compliant with applicable privacy standards

4. Home Environment Safety

• A home safety assessment may be conducted prior to initiating care to identify potential hazards
• Caregivers are trained in fall prevention, safe transfers, and emergency response procedures
• Clients and families are encouraged to communicate any environmental concerns to their care coordinator

5. Insurance & Liability

• VITA Soins et Services maintains professional liability insurance covering all caregiving activities
• All caregivers are covered under our organizational insurance policy
• Clients are encouraged to review their homeowner's or tenant's insurance for additional coverage
